Qualifications:
4-6+ years of experience in business, technology, product management, or a related field; or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military service, or education.
• Experience working in a product-focused environment with exposure to product management practices.
• Demonstrated ability to think strategically and make informed decisions in a professional setting.
• Experience managing multiple priorities and balancing competing demands.
• Strong relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead initiatives, influence outcomes, and collaborate across teams.
• Experience leveraging data, insights, and diverse perspectives to support decision-making.
• Experience working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment alongside cross-functional teams, including technology partners.
• Experience with retirement, benefits, or financial services products is a plus.
Responsibilities:
Product Strategy:
• Partners with product leadership and cross-functional teams to understand product goals and priorities.
• Develops an understanding of product strategy within the broader business and customer context.
• Supports execution of product initiatives as part of a product team.
Product Discovery:
• Helps identify business needs, customer challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborates with team members to define requirements, validate assumptions, and explore solutions.
• Participates in the development and execution of experiments, research, and discovery activities.
• Evaluates outcomes, gathers insights, and contributes to recommendations for future priorities.
• Supports ongoing discovery and delivery efforts to ensure product investments align with business objectives.
Product Delivery:
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to support successful product delivery.
• Assists in identifying and resolving obstacles, dependencies, and risks that may impact outcomes.
• Provides relevant business, customer, and stakeholder context to help teams make informed decisions.
• Works with team members to prioritize and deliver incremental value.
• Contributes to backlog refinement, prioritization, acceptance criteria, and release planning activities.
• Participates in agile ceremonies and other team routines.
• Supports quality delivery and effective communication of product updates and releases.
Product Assessment:
• Helps define and monitor success measures aligned to product goals and business outcomes.
• Tracks product performance, adoption, and progress against objectives.
• Contributes to evaluating product effectiveness and identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Supports efforts to optimize product strategy, delivery, and customer value based on results and feedback.
Stakeholder Management and Communication:
• Communicates priorities, progress, key learnings, and product updates to stakeholders.
• Collaborates effectively with partners across business and technology functions.
• Identifies opportunities to improve product management practices and team effectiveness.
• Contributes to a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and knowledge sharing.
