Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Agile Scrum Master to support an Information Technology organization focused on delivering customer-facing technology initiatives. This role will apply Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) principles to help teams organize work, improve delivery outcomes, and enhance overall team performance. The Scrum Master will support up to three agile teams and play a key role in driving consistent, high-quality delivery across initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as Scrum Master for up to three agile teams, ensuring adherence to Agile and SAFe best practices
- Lead and facilitate all agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
- Participate in quarterly Program Increment planning and cross-team agile ceremonies
- Support backlog refinement, sprint planning, roadmapping, and productivity reporting
- Promote continuous improvement, team health, and effective collaboration
- Ensure delivery of high-quality technical solutions aligned with established technology development and change management standards
- Communicate team status, risks, and performance metrics to stakeholders
- Actively participate in the broader Agile community and represent team progress and health
Required Qualifications
- Active Scrum Master certification with proof of certification, issuing organization, and expiration date
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience serving as a Scrum Master within a Scaled Agile Framework environment
- At least one (1) year of Scrum Master experience within the past twenty-four (24) months
- Recent experience supporting agile team processes and ceremonies, including backlog management, sprint planning, roadmaps, story refinement, and productivity reporting
- At least one (1) year of experience within the past twenty-four (24) months using Jira to support agile teams, including creating user stories, managing tasks, linking issue types, and closing sprints
Preferred Qualifications
- Three or more years of demonstrated servant leadership experience
- Experience serving as a Scrum Master within an electric utility or regulated industry
- Three or more years of hands-on experience practicing Agile frameworks
- Three or more years of experience prioritizing work within agile teams, including defining and managing prioritization processes
