What You Will Be Doing:
Accounting Manager will have a few direct reports, be a leader for the Company for technical accounting matters and support the accounting team’s normal monthly processes. Individuals in this role should also have the ability to lead and provide guidance to other Managers, Directors and Senior leaders. The ideal candidate will possess strong attributes for accuracy, have a high competency in accounting principles and be people oriented.

Qualifications:

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent Required and essential for complex accounting judgment, audit interactions, and credibility as a subject matter expert.
  • Expertise in complex technical accounting areas
     Includes ASC 842 (leases), fixed assets, AROs, impairment, consolidations, revenue recognition, derivatives — core to this job.

  • Leadership and team management experience 
    Managing a team of 3–5 accountants with responsibility over month-end close, reconciliations, and internal controls.

  • Ability to research and apply accounting theory 
    Especially for new or unfamiliar transactions (e.g., new business models or standards) — this is critical for advisory responsibilities.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills 
    Needed to interact with senior management, external auditors, and cross-functional teams — both written and verbal.

  • Experience implementing new accounting standards 
    Demonstrates ability to manage change and drive technical projects across departments (e.g., ASC 842 adoption).

  • Practical knowledge of SOX controls and compliance
    The role includes oversight of internal control activities, which are essential for audit readiness and financial integrity.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    Required for assessing complex transactions, making judgment calls, and recommending accounting treatments.

  • Experience in transaction accounting and special situationsSuch as purchase accounting, discontinued operations, goodwill, and assets held for sale — often high-impact, non-routine.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word)
    Needed for reporting, presentations, documentation, and day-to-day communication and analysis.
