Position Overview: 
We are seeking a highly experienced webMethods Integration Developer to support integration development efforts for capital projects at a leading utility provider. This is a six-month contract opportunity under an IT Multiple Award Task Order Contract (MATOC), with the possibility of replacement upon project extension. 

The ideal candidate is a senior-level developer with deep experience in the webMethods platform, including cloud-based (webMethods.IO) and on-premise solutions. This role will involve designing, developing, and testing APIs and system integrations that support enterprise-level initiatives. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and implement web services and integration solutions using Software AG’s webMethods platform 

  • Work with technologies such as Integration Server, Universal Messaging, API Gateway, wM Test Suite, EDI/TN, and Java services 

  • Collaborate with internal teams to support capital project implementations 

  • Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues and optimize system performance 

  • Participate in remote meetings and status updates during Pacific Time business hours 

  • Ensure confidentiality and data security, especially with PII and production systems 

Mandatory Qualifications: 

  • Minimum 5 years of experience with webMethods integration platform 

  • Proven experience with webMethods.IO SaaS platform 

Preferred Skills & Experience: 

  • Deep understanding of webMethods components including: 

  • Integration Server 

  • API Gateway 

  • Universal Messaging 

  • Trading Networks (EDI/TN) 

  • wM Test Suite 

  • Java Service Development 

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills 

  • Experience with secure data handling and PII compliance 

Work Environment & Requirements: 

  • Must be onsite in Sacramento, CA for initial 3-day onboarding (equipment issuance and setup) 

  • Must have reliable internet access and work exclusively within the United States 

  • Available for scheduled meetings and project syncs between 9 AM and 5 PM PT 

  • Will work remotely following onboarding 

  • Replacement resources (if needed) must meet the same qualifications and be pre-approved 

Confidentiality Requirements: 

Candidate will be required to adhere to strict confidentiality standards, including but not limited to: 

  • Protection of production systems data 

  • Handling of Personally Identifiable Information (PII)
