Job Title: Technical Project Manager (Contract)
Location: Onsite – Denver, CO
Pay Range: $60 – 70/hour
Duration: 6 months Contract with potential to renew
Job Summary:
We seek an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead Databricks migration and data transformation initiatives. This onsite role in Denver requires managing complex on-prem to cloud migrations, ensuring seamless data integration, and overseeing reporting solutions like Tableau. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience managing data-focused projects, utilizing Agile/Waterfall methodologies, and working with DevOps and cloud platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Databricks Migration: Lead on-prem to cloud data migration projects, ensuring smooth integration and scalability.
- Project Execution: Develop roadmaps, manage dependencies, track progress, and mitigate risks for data migration and analytics initiatives.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary contact for business and technical teams, ensuring clear communication and expectation alignment.
- Reporting & Metrics: Establish KPIs, provide regular project updates, and deliver executive-level reports.
- Risk & Issue Management: Identify and resolve project risks proactively, ensuring timely milestone delivery.
- Process Optimization: Guide teams on best practices in data engineering, deployment, and reporting solutions.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience managing data migration and software implementation projects.
- Strong Databricks project management experience or big data cloud migration expertise.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
- Experience with Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid project management approaches.
- Strong change management and leadership skills in large-scale enterprise environments.
- Relevant certifications (PMP, Agile, SAFe) preferred.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Onsite requirement: Must be available 4 days per week in Denver, CO.
