Qualifications
We’re looking for someone with these key skills:
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree (preferably in computer science, technology, engineering, math, or related field) with 3+ years of experience, or equivalent experience
- Strong COBOL expertise and hands-on experience with mainframe systems
- Experience with mainframe platforms such as IBM z/OS, CICS, JCL, DB2, TSO, and VSAM
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycles, process optimization, and risk analysis
- Ability to assess legacy systems and design modern, forward-looking solutions
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues
- Ability to influence technical and strategic decisions with clear reasoning
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with IBM Developer for z/OS (IDz)
- Familiarity with GitHub and Insomnia
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, automation, and DevOps practices
- Background in financial services, insurance, or other regulated industries
- Experience with Microsoft Access

- Mentor team members and support skill development
- Identify and mitigate risks to ensure secure and reliable systems
