About the Role
Associate Staffing is seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to support one of our key clients, a global leader in gaming and technology. In this role, you’ll help build and maintain automated test frameworks, ensure product quality, and enable faster, more reliable releases across large-scale systems used by millions of people.
You’ll collaborate closely with developers, QA engineers, and product managers to design and implement automation strategies, identify areas for improvement, and uphold best-in-class engineering standards.
What You’ll Do

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test cases.
  • Partner with engineering teams to integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Conduct functional, regression, performance, and load testing across services and applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to clarify requirements, reproduce bugs, and ensure timely resolution.
  • Analyze test results, identify root causes of issues, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Champion quality engineering practices to drive continuous improvement.
  • Validate child safety features such as parental controls, content gating, and secure handling of Personally Identifiable Information (PII) in compliance with regulations (e.g., COPPA).
  • Design and execute tests for authentication and authorization workflows, including OAuth 2.0 and SSO integrations, ensuring secure token handling and compliance with industry standards.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience: 3–5+ years as an SDET, QA Automation Engineer, or Software Engineer in Test.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Python, Java, C#, or similar).
  • Test Frameworks: Hands-on experience with tools like Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, JUnit, TestNG, or similar.
  • CI/CD: Familiarity with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or comparable tools.
  • Databases & APIs: Solid understanding of SQL and experience testing REST/GraphQL APIs.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in gaming, entertainment, or other high-scale consumer technology environments.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • Exposure to performance/load testing tools (JMeter, Locust, k6).
  • Comfort working in Agile/Scrum development cycles.
  • Familiarity with compliance testing for child safety regulations (COPPA, GDPR) and security standards (OWASP, SOC 2).
