Position will function as a Product Designer in Technology Strategy and will work within the department to design and test approaches to new and existing on-line applications.
Candidate will lead discovery and design efforts to create user experiences and interfaces for financial web applications. Deliverables include project vision documentation, interactive designs, user feedback reports, and UI definition documents. A user-centered design process is employed at LPL. A strong candidate for this position will be able to assist in usability testing, design ideation, wire-framing, and design execution. LPL is a customer-focused company that highly values the online experience.
Qualifications include 5 years experience in usable, on-line interactive design. Financial industry experience is strongly encouraged. Experience with User Interface Design programs such as Photoshop; Illustrator; Flash; and Dreamweaver is encouraged. Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential; the successful candidate will be highly organized and self-motivated with the ability to multi-task over across a number of technology initiatives.
The position requires occasional travel.
