Job Title: Senior Business Systems Analyst
High Level Project Overview:
Our Utility Clients Information Technology department is currently seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst for support of corporate application systems. This position requires working with internal clients to implement automation solutions which improve existing business processes. Responsibilities will include gathering and documenting requirements, participating in the identification and evaluation of technology solutions, developing and executing test plans, preparing support documentation, and providing on-going support for the implemented solution. Other duties as assigned based on need.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience:
- Experience developing process maps, gathering business requirements, with a strong emphasis on application testing. Adheres to formal change management policies.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as lead BSA on capital projects and Operations & Maintenance efforts for multiple client areas.
- Ability to provide second and third-level support for inquiries submitted to the IT Help Line; utilize Quality Center for documenting and tracking work requests.
- Data analysis skills and experience troubleshooting application functions.
- Experience working with compliance and regulations (NERC CIP, SOX, etc) is desirable.
Soft Skill Requirements:
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Ability to lead, collaborate, or work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams
Preferred Years of Experience:
- 5+ years of experience supporting technology projects and applications as a senior business analyst
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in either computer science, information technology, or computer engineering

- Preference for candidates with prior experience with a utility company but will accept candidate with prior experience in a regulated industry
