Security Engineer – AppSec / Identity / CloudSec

Summary:
We are seeking a Security Engineer with deep expertise in application security, identity and access management (IAM), and cloud security to join our client’s security engineering team. This individual will play a key role in designing and implementing systems and processes that protect the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of large-scale digital platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement secure systems and services across cloud-native and on-premise environments
- Lead threat modeling and risk assessments for new and existing applications
- Develop and maintain IAM infrastructure using technologies like OAuth2, SAML, and AWS IAM
- Collaborate with engineering teams to embed security practices into SDLC and DevOps pipelines
- Conduct secure code reviews and manage vulnerability scanning/reporting processes
- Monitor and respond to security incidents in coordination with other security teams
- Stay current on emerging threats, technologies, and compliance requirements (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001)
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in security engineering, with emphasis on AppSec, IAM, and cloud security
- Strong knowledge of security protocols, identity frameworks, and best practices (OAuth, SSO, Zero Trust)
- Hands-on experience with AWS security services, including IAM, KMS, and CloudTrail
- Familiarity with secure software development practices and tools (SAST/DAST, OWASP, DevSecOps)
- Proficient in at least one programming or scripting language (Python, C++, Go preferred)
- Experience in gaming, high-scale tech platforms, or consumer-facing digital services is a plus
