Senior SDET, Quality Engineering
We’re looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) to join our dynamic Quality Engineering team. In this hybrid role, you’ll be part of an interdisciplinary team of hardware, firmware, software, system, and test engineers, developing and integrating cutting-edge technologies. You’ll play a crucial role in building end-to-end automation solutions, connecting various platforms and ensuring seamless operations.
 
You’ll work closely with product and engineering teams to understand features, develop and automate test cases, improve product quality, and significantly shorten release times from development to production. This is a hybrid position requiring onsite work at our Fort Mill, SC, or Austin, TX locations.
 
Key Responsibilities:

  • Integrate AI/ML models into the testing lifecycle for intelligent test case generation, anomaly detection, and predictive quality analytics.
  • Contribute to AI-driven test optimization and self-healing automation initiatives.
  • Design, develop, and maintain robust test automation frameworks for web, API, and data platforms.
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and DevOps to ensure end-to-end quality across all systems.
  • Actively participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies (PI Planning, Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Defect Review, Sprint Demo, Retrospectives) and lead where applicable.
  • Lead test strategy, planning, and execution for supporting applications and systems.
  • Write complex queries to perform comprehensive data validation.
  • Perform code reviews and mentor junior engineers on best practices in automation and quality assurance.
  • Drive shift-left testing initiatives and CI/CD integration for faster feedback loops and continuous improvement.
  • Analyze test results, identify root causes of defects, and contribute to ongoing process enhancements.
  • Demonstrate leadership experience in guiding releases and project delivery with minimal supervision.

 
Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and libraries.
  • Experience with AI-enhanced testing tools.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • 6+ years of experience as an SDET or in a similar quality engineering role.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or JavaScript.
  • Expertise in test automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar.
  • Experience with REST API testing using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or Karate.
  • Solid understanding and practical experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience working with large datasets.
  • Strong analytical and debugging skills.

 
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exposure to generative AI and prompt engineering for test case generation.
  • Contributions to open-source Quality Engineering or AI projects.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Knowledge of data pipelines, ETL testing, or data quality frameworks.

 
Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and lead cross-functional initiatives.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
