About the Opportunity

Associate Staffing is partnering with a leading global technology and digital entertainment organization seeking an experienced Senior Frontend Platform Engineer to join a team responsible for developing and enhancing mission-critical internal applications.

These platforms support hundreds of users responsible for maintaining safe, trusted digital environments across a large global ecosystem.

We are seeking a highly capable, user-focused engineer who combines deep React and TypeScript expertise with strong product instincts, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to independently drive technical initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain modern, scalable frontend applications using React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.

  • Modernize legacy UI applications and tooling using Vite, Redux Toolkit, RTK Query, and component-based design systems.

  • Partner directly with stakeholders and end users to understand operational challenges, identify underlying business problems, and develop effective technical solutions.

  • Champion the end-user experience by improving application usability, accessibility, performance, and workflow efficiency.

  • Take ownership of frontend initiatives from requirements gathering and architectural decisions through development, testing, and production delivery.

  • Build reusable UI components and integrate frontend applications with backend APIs and microservices.

  • Apply modern engineering practices involving testing, CI/CD, performance optimization, and application reliability.

  • Leverage AI-assisted development tools, including Claude Code or comparable agentic coding platforms, to improve engineering efficiency and code quality.

  • Collaborate with engineering, product, design, and operational teams to prioritize initiatives and deliver measurable business outcomes.

  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve existing systems, reduce technical debt, and enhance platform health.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional frontend software engineering experience.

  • Expert-level proficiency in React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.

  • Strong experience developing complex, production-grade web applications, including internal tools, operational dashboards, or enterprise platforms.

  • Experience with modern frontend build tooling, particularly Vite.

  • Experience with Redux Toolkit, RTK Query, or comparable state management and API data-fetching solutions.

  • Experience working with component libraries and design systems such as Material UI (MUI), Emotion, or similar technologies.

  • Strong understanding of RESTful API integrations, authentication, authorization, caching, and asynchronous data handling.

  • Experience with frontend testing, automated quality practices, Git-based workflows, and CI/CD pipelines.

  • Practical experience using AI-assisted or agentic coding tools in software development workflows.

  • Strong understanding of UI/UX principles, accessibility, and performance optimization.

  • Demonstrated ability to independently own technical initiatives, navigate ambiguity, and make informed architectural and product decisions.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience developing internal applications supporting high-volume operational workflows.

  • Background in trust and safety, cybersecurity, fraud prevention, content moderation, or similar environments.

  • Experience modernizing legacy frontend applications and migrating to contemporary frameworks or build systems.

  • Familiarity with microservice architectures and distributed application environments.

  • Experience with GitHub Actions, Jira, and Storybook or similar component development tools.

  • Experience collaborating directly with nontechnical stakeholders to translate complex business challenges into intuitive software solutions.
