Procurement Project Leader

As a Procurement Project Leader, you will drive strategic sourcing, supplier collaboration, and continuous improvement efforts across our Thermo King Trailer platform. Required Skills
- Strong project management and leadership experience managing multiple procurement projects
- Expertise in RFx execution, supplier negotiations, and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis
- Ability to develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with business and engineering objectives
- Skilled in supplier risk management, tariff mitigation, and global sourcing practices
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
Nice to Have Skills
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing, A3 methodology, and operational excellence tools
- Experience with Oracle or similar ERP systems
- Background in new product development (NPD) and value analysis/value engineering (VAVE)
- International sourcing experience and managing complex cross-functional projects
- Familiarity with materials management, supplier development, and quality improvement initiatives
Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, operations, engineering, or related field
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in procurement, engineering, project management, or related areas
- Experience with international sourcing and finance considerations is a plus
Other Requirements
- Willingness to travel up to 20% to support supplier and project needs
- Prior experience working in a global industrial environment preferred
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate across functions, facilitate discussions, and manage ambiguity effectively
