Procurement Project Leader

As a Procurement Project Leader, you will drive strategic sourcing, supplier collaboration, and continuous improvement efforts across our Thermo King Trailer platform. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence cost savings, optimize supply chain performance, and work with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment committed to operational excellence.

Required Skills

  • Strong project management and leadership experience managing multiple procurement projects
  • Expertise in RFx execution, supplier negotiations, and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis
  • Ability to develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with business and engineering objectives
  • Skilled in supplier risk management, tariff mitigation, and global sourcing practices
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills

Nice to Have Skills

  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing, A3 methodology, and operational excellence tools
  • Experience with Oracle or similar ERP systems
  • Background in new product development (NPD) and value analysis/value engineering (VAVE)
  • International sourcing experience and managing complex cross-functional projects
  • Familiarity with materials management, supplier development, and quality improvement initiatives

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, operations, engineering, or related field
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in procurement, engineering, project management, or related areas
  • Experience with international sourcing and finance considerations is a plus

Other Requirements

  • Willingness to travel up to 20% to support supplier and project needs
  • Prior experience working in a global industrial environment preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate across functions, facilitate discussions, and manage ambiguity effectively
