Job Title: PMO/Portfolio Manager

Location: Denver, CO (fully on-site)

Pay: $65 – $85/hour, DOE

Position Overview: 
As Portfolio and Reporting Manager, you will facilitate collaboration across various cross-functional technical, product, and non-technical agile teams, manage multiple portfolios, administer the PPM tool, and provide reporting support to extract data from Planview.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and drive end-to-end portfolio management for key verticals.
  • Provide support for Quarterly planning of portfolios ensuring clear visibility to the new and approved initiatives. 
  • Manage and lead IDEA intake process collecting key data elements to enable approval, prioritization, and drive them through the process.
  • Drive prioritization of the initiatives with product managers/owners ensuring engineering has clear visibility to the approved initiatives with priorities.
  • Partner with the Product team ensuring a large backlog is built.
  • Enable visibility to the portfolio health for each portfolio, raising any risks or issues proactively.
  • Enable change management so there is clear alignment to the priorities.
  • Enable out of the box reporting from the PPM tool, so KPI information is available and can be consumed as needed.
  • Partner with engineering leads ensuring resource and capacity planning is done at every sprint and quarterly manner.
  • Establish PPM tool guidelines by aligning alignment with broader organizational leaders.
  • Manage PPM tool as an administrator ensuring organization is adhering to the guidelines.
  • Lead the PPM tool migration to new tool
  • Be a change agent to drive and implement changes related to PPM tool implementation. Build related artifacts and presentations as needed.
  • Build required processes, templates, training, and mentorship to the team in partnership with other PMO team members.
  • Provide expert advice and coaching to leads and teams to ensure best process execution.
  • Communicate roll up of project issues and status in a concise, accurate, and professional manner for senior leadership consumption, escalating blocking issues risking milestone delivery.

Qualifications: 

  • 7-10 Years of proven experience as a Portfolio Manager.
  • Strong understanding of agile methodologies and experience implementing them in large-scale projects.
  • Experience in the media industry will be a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance technical expertise with strong business acumen.
  • Demonstrated success in driving cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management.
  • Executive reporting, focus on Portfolio/PMO KPI and generate executive level updates
  • PPM tool administration will be critical 
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to engage and influence at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to communicate and report at executive level will be an advantage.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize complex information and make data-driven decisions.
  • Proven track record in leading teams to deliver high-quality results within challenging timelines.
  • Change management expertise and experience driving organizational transformation.
  • Relevant certifications such as PMP, PgMP, SAFe, or Agile certifications will be considered.
  • Bachelor’s degree in technical fields such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required.
  • Jira, Jira Align, and Confluence experience a plus.
  • Experience working in Agile, waterfall and hybrid environments.
  • Experience delivering technology and business application solutions in a large-scale, multi-platform systems environment.
