Join Our Team as an Operations Specialist – Cash Control!
Pay Rate: Competitive hourly rate (based on experience)

Are you ready to make a meaningful impact in the world of cash management? We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Operations Specialist to support vital cash movement processes within a dynamic financial environment. This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with a talented team dedicated to ensuring accurate and efficient handling of cash and asset transactions. Located in Fort Mill with a hybrid onsite schedule, this six-month contract has the potential for extension or conversion, making it an excellent stepping stone in your finance career.

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage and process receipt transactions, including handling non-standard requests and receipt inquires.
  • Support disbursement activities, monitor work queues, and process requests related to retirement and non-retirement products.
  • Handle special claims such as divorce and death, as well as tax-related operations.
  • Review reports to reconcile ledgers and verify end-of-day balances for wires and checks.
  • Review rejection reports and update ACH transactions accordingly.
  • Participate actively in daily huddles and departmental meetings to stay current with process updates and controls.

  • Ability to adapt seamlessly to change.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the capability to articulate requirements and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and consistency in task execution.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently or collaboratively in a team.

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Experience with financial transaction processing and reconciliation.
  • Familiarity with the brokerage or financial services industry.
  • Knowledge of tax and claims processing related to retirement assets.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in brokerage or financial services industries.

Other Requirements:

  • Candidates should be available to work onsite three days a week in Fort Mill.
  • Preferred certifications include FINRA Series 7/66 (not mandatory but advantageous).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, BETA (Mainframe), Documentum, Siebel, and SharePoint.
