Position Overview
The company is seeking a professional to lead and execute the design, development, and evaluation of complex training curricula, materials, and programs to meet strategic organizational initiatives. This role involves managing relationships with business partners and clients and potentially mentoring peers. The individual will monitor emerging training and development trends and standards for adoption, develop assessments and evaluations, and analyze results to determine the return on investment of programs.
What You Will Be Doing
- Leading and executing the design and development of complex training curricula, materials, and programs, including instructor-led, virtual, online, and blended formats, to meet strategic organizational initiatives.
- Designing new and evaluating existing training curricula, applying proven instructional design principles.
- Establishing training standards and ensuring all material is consistent and aligned with learning and development guidelines.
- Managing relationships with business partners and consulting with clients to perform training needs analysis and determine business and/or performance needs.
- Managing multiple projects at a time, requiring strong project planning and stakeholder management.
- Serving as a mentor for peers.
- Preparing training plans to recommend, design, develop, implement, and evaluate learning solutions.
- Recommending methods for delivery such as instructor-led, e-learning, or other media, considering the audience, business needs, and requirements.
- Monitoring emerging technologies, training, and development trends and standards, and making recommendations for adoption.
- Developing learning assessments and training evaluations, analyzing results, making recommendations, and working with business to determine the return on investment (ROI).
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (T&D, HRD, Org. Psych, English) or equivalent experience.
- 4-6 years of instructional design and development experience.
- Expertise with e-learning tools (Storyline, Captivate, Camtasia).
- Experience working with Adobe Creative Suite tools.
- Experience designing instructor-led training – virtual or in-class.
- Knowledge of training and development practices and methods, including needs assessment and instructional design for instructor-led, virtual, and online training.
- Knowledge of training theories and principles, including adult learning theory and established industry models of evaluation.
- Ability to mentor others.
- Excellent writing skills.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to organize, manage, and lead multiple projects.
- Knowledge and ability to recommend and measure learning solutions.
- Professional written and verbal communication skills, including influencing and persuading others.
- Attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Skill in Microsoft Office and Zoom software applications.
- Knowledge of general business principles and practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree.

- Close visual acuity to perform detail-oriented activities at distances close to the eyes, as well as visual acuity to perform activities at or within arm’s reach with skill, control, and accuracy, such as preparing and analyzing data, viewing computer screens, and expansive reading.
Incumbent will be subject to:
- Inside working conditions: The change of building environment such as with or without air conditioning and heating.
- If working remotely, the incumbent must be suitably equipped with the right infrastructure for success, including high-speed internet, cell phone, and working space.
