Overview:
Our client is seeking an experienced DataPower Administrator/Developer to drive enterprise gateway migration, infrastructure integration, and production support initiatives in a secure, large-scale environment. This pivotal role will focus on DataPower development, design, and troubleshooting, with an emphasis on secure APIs and automation. Required Skills:

  • 8+ years of hands-on experience with IBM DataPower (IDG/X2 appliances).
  • Strong expertise in designing and implementing DataPower proxy solutions.
  • Proficient in integration standards like OAuth 2.0, WS-Security, JWTs, authentication, and authorization.
  • Skilled in DataPower Gateway Scripts, XSLT for transformation logic, and protocol management.
  • Experience with TLS certificate lifecycles and debugging in production environments.
  • Ability to provide guidance on secure integration patterns and best practices.
  • Deep knowledge of appliance setup, administration, and networking.
  • Familiarity with DevOps automation tools such as TeamCity, Python, and REST API management.

Nice to Have Skills:

  • WebSphere MQ experience.
  • Background in the financial services industry or similar regulated environments.
  • Exposure to Kong and familiarity with IBM IIB or other IBM middleware technologies.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • 8 to 10 years of relevant hands-on experience with a focus on DataPower technologies.
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
