Must-Have Skills

  • Strong backend engineering experience (Go preferred; open to general backend engineers).
  • Proficiency with SQL – able to design, query, and optimize relational databases.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure, including:
    • RDS
    • ElastiCache / Redis
    • SNS & SQS
  • Familiarity with monitoring and alerting systems (Grafana, Sentry, or similar).
  • Strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Overview:
We are seeking 1–2 Mid-Level Backend Engineers to join the Core Engineering Team at our client. This team is responsible for account security backend services that support millions of users. You will help maintain and enhance existing systems, implement new features, and strengthen observability across services.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and enhance existing Go backend services supporting account security initiatives.
  • Develop and deliver new features in Go or related backend technologies.
  • Improve monitoring, observability, and testing coverage across services.
  • Collaborate with engineering team leads to ensure scalability, reliability, and security of backend systems.
  • Participate in on-call support rotation during U.S. Eastern Time Zone hours.
  • (Optional) Support light front-end maintenance and development for internal tooling, based on experience and interest.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Strong programming experience with C++ and exposure to backend development.
  • Professional experience with Go (Golang).
  • Proficiency with SQL and database technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure, including:
    • RDS
    • ElastiCache / Redis
    • SNS & SQS
  • Familiarity with monitoring and alerting systems (Grafana, Sentry, or similar).
  • Strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience contributing to account security, authentication, or related engineering initiatives.
  • Interest in supporting internal tooling and front-end systems.
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with account security or authentication-related projects.
  • Familiarity with frontend frameworks and willingness to support internal tooling.
  • Exposure to C++ or additional backend languages.
