The Company:
We are a full-service, in-house ad agency focused on delivering high-impact creative grounded in business knowledge, design expertise and an invested passion for our brands. Our award-winning team is one of the largest and fastest-growing internal creative teams in Denver.
Salary Range: $100,000 – $135,000 annually, depending on experience
Responsibilities:
- Support creative director and client partners in the development of strategies, concepts, and campaign executions
- Collaborate with agency leadership in support of team initiatives and goals
- Manage a team of direct reports, supporting each individual’s professional development
- Mentor copywriters to improve skill sets and elevate the quality of creative
- Supervise multiple projects and creative teams
- Guide written and visual articulation of ideas into campaign concepts
- Direct the copy and strategic development of creative materials
- Lead teams of creatives in the development of ideas
- Oversee quality control and consistency across copy and art direction
- Ensure brand identity and message consistency across channels
- Develop concepts that work across a variety of marketing channels: digital, social, website, print, pre-roll video (not traditional TV-centric)
- Execute campaigns and tactics, whether original creative or extensions of partner work
- Lead and participate in brainstorming sessions
- Ensure copy resources are allocated according to project needs
- Present and pitch ideas to key stakeholders
Skills, Experience and Requirements:
Education and Experience:
- Degree in marketing, communications or related field; 7+ years of agency experience, including 5+ years of copywriting experience
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven leadership skills; ability to coach, mentor, motivate and foster a positive work environment
- Proven ability to evaluate creative team performance and guide improvements
- Proven ability to drive improvements in agency/partner relationships and performance
- Proven ability to evaluate creative and provide clear, actionable direction across strategy, concept and execution
- Ability to instill and maintain high creative standards
- Strong creative, conceptual and strategic thinking skills
- Knowledge of marketing, brand, and design principles and development
- Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
- Ability to prioritize work and resources based on short- and long-term needs
- Experience managing a team is strongly preferred
