Our Commitment To Community

We’re in the people business, and we’re committed to serving the communities where we work. We believe we have a responsibility to contribute to the people and nonprofits who volunteer to help others. That’s why community service efforts are an integral part of our firm’s company culture.

We strive to give back in different ways. Our community service efforts include providing college scholarships to worthy candidates, coordinating active volunteer trips in our local communities and raising funds to support random acts of kindness for our community members. You can learn about some of our community giving initiatives below.

#1: Some members of our executive team didn’t have the funds to finish college. As Associate Staffing has continued to grow, we wanted to provide others with an opportunity some of our own leadership didn’t have. Throughout the past 7 years, Associate Staffing has awarded more than $70,000 in scholarships through the Norton Endowment Fund, to more than 15 outstanding individuals within our local communities. Our firm knows the importance of education for both our candidates and our clients, so enabling others to pursue their chosen field of study helps strengthen the knowledge and career growth potential in our communities.

#2: During a recent Christmas holiday , our Charlotte, NC, team raised more than $1,500 with the help of some our clients. We then went into Walmart and surprised some of our local community members by paying off their lay-away and picking up their bill at the cash register. These random acts of kindness brightened the season for those in our community, as well as our staff members and clients.

#3: Team members in our Charlotte, NC, office spent a day volunteering at the local Loaves & Fishes food pantry. This amazing charity provides a week’s worth of food to individuals and families in short-term food crisis in Mecklenburg County. Our team provided hands-on support to organize and distribute food to families in need. We’re always grateful for the opportunity to get involved with worthy causes like these.

#4: Our team knows the importance of family, which is why we were thrilled to spend an afternoon cleaning the Ronald McDonald House. This nonprofit organization provides a home for families who have a loved one being hospitalized. This volunteer outing was another opportunity for the Associate Staffing team to provide hands-on support in our community and support those in need in our local area.
