What You Will Be Doing
As a Help Desk Support Specialist, you’ll play a critical role in supporting daily IT operations across multiple locations. You will be responsible for maintaining IT equipment, managing customer support requests, and troubleshooting various devices such as PCs, MACs, printers, wireless handheld devices, thin clients, and other end-user hardware. Working directly under the IT Manager of the Services Support Desk, you’ll also provide remote support to multiple sites, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
Key responsibilities include:

Providing high-level customer service while assisting users via phone and email with technical issues

Following standard desk-side operating procedures and accurately updating tickets in tracking systems

Supporting and documenting tasks using Microsoft Office applications

Collaborating with other departments to escalate and resolve technical tickets efficiently

Owning issues from initiation to successful resolution with limited supervision

Offering moderately complex technical support, especially for macOSX systems

Leading installations, configurations, and maintenance of computer operating systems

Maintaining a solid understanding of IT operations, systems, and business processes

Staying up to date with operating systems and application software for effective support
Qualifications

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or 3–5 years of relevant experience

Strong experience troubleshooting integrated systems, with a focus on macOSX

Ability to prioritize tasks in alignment with department and production goals

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Proven ability to make decisions independently in a fast-paced environment
