Overview
We’re seeking two experienced Senior Data Science Analysts to support enterprise-level analytics initiatives at a leading organization. This role involves solving complex problems using advanced analytics techniques across structured and unstructured datasets. Candidates will help design and deploy machine learning models, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end data science projects including business consultation, model development, and delivery

Apply machine learning techniques such as classification, regression, and clustering

Develop statistical models and perform detailed feature engineering

Work with large-scale datasets on Hadoop-based platforms

Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to present insights and recommendations

Document project scope, data workflows, and findings clearly for stakeholders

Support and mentor junior data analysts as needed
Required Skills

5+ years of hands-on experience in data science (R, Python, or similar)

Deep knowledge of predictive modeling, machine learning, and statistical analysis

Proficiency in tools such as Spark (PySpark, SparkR, SparkSQL), Hive, Sqoop, Jupyter, or Zeppelin

Experience working with both structured and unstructured datasets

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Ability to collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary and hybrid teams
Preferred Qualifications

Exposure to data engineering workflows or big data architecture

Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, or Snowflake

Background in utilities, energy, or other capital-intensive industries

This position requires eligibility for Export Control Clearance — candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Green Card holders

Candidates must be local to the Richmond, VA area or willing to relocate (no per diem or 100% remote)

Hybrid schedule: Alternating weeks onsite and remote (5 days on/5 days off)
