Sr. Strategic Sourcing Manager – IT & Professional Services
Overview
Our client, a large enterprise organization, is hiring a Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager to lead end-to-end sourcing and commercial negotiations across IT and Professional Services. This is a highly visible role focused on building and managing multi-year agreements, reducing tail spend, enforcing rate-card compliance, and partnering closely with Legal and IT Finance to mitigate risk. You’ll also work in an AI-enabled procurement environment—leveraging AI tools for analysis and efficiency while applying strong human judgment and oversight.
Required Skills
- Strategic sourcing experience across IT and Professional Services
- Proven success with commercial negotiations and supplier selection
- Experience creating Statements of Work (SOWs) from scratch and understanding SOW mechanics
- Strong capability with rate cards, pricing variance auditing, and labor-mix analysis
- Experience running competitive RFx events (RFI/RFP/RFQ) and market studies ahead of renewals
- Ability to partner with Legal and Finance to manage commercial/contract risk and payment structures
- Strong analytical skills (price variance calculations, spend analysis, contract value evaluation)
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with tools such as Oracle, ServiceNow, and/or Workday
- Experience with contract lifecycle management tools (examples referenced): ServiceNow, LEAH CLM, SimplifyVMS, ContractPodAI
- Background supporting sourcing across software, hardware, professional services, and external sourcing in a large enterprise/Fortune 500 environment
- Comfort using AI tools (examples referenced) to support analysis and content/presentation development (with human verification)
Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university
- 8–10 years of experience in strategic sourcing, commercial negotiations, and business analysis in a high-volume enterprise environment
- 8+ years specifically sourcing within IT and Professional Services
