Division Managing Director – Large Market Customer Care

Overview
Our client, a leading organization in the financial services industry, is seeking a highly experienced Division Managing Director to lead their Large Market Customer Care team. As a key executive, you will oversee a team of senior Relationship Managers, foster strong client partnerships, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver operational excellence. Required Skills

  • 15+ years of related industry experience or equivalent
  • 7+ years leading senior client-facing professionals
  • Deep knowledge of defined contribution plans, ERISA, and regulatory frameworks
  • Proven success managing large institutional relationships ($500M+ plan size)
  • Strong executive communication and influencer skills

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with financial and business analytics tools (e.g., Salesforce, dashboards)
  • Knowledge of recordkeeping operations within the retirement or financial services sector
  • Familiarity with compliance and risk management practices
  • Advanced certifications or licenses (e.g., FINRA Series 6/63/26) within specified timelines
  • Demonstrated strategic planning and organizational skills

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Business Administration, or related field
  • Significant industry-specific training or certifications
  • Extensive experience in high-complexity, client-focused environments
  • Proven track record of driving growth and retention with institutional clients

Other Requirements

  • Travel required, including overnight stays, up to 50%
  • Ability to work flexible hours based on client and business needs
  • Authorized to work within the relevant jurisdiction
  • Licensing as required under relevant laws within 5-9 months of employment:
    • The following licenses are required within 5 months of employment: Successful Registration as an Investment Company Products/Variable contracts Limited Representative (FINRA Series 6 or equivalent and FINRA Series 63). The SIE exam may be a requirement.

    • FINRA Series 26 – Investment Company and Variable Contracts Products: required within 9 months of employment
