Role Overview
Join a fast-paced HR support team where you’ll help keep employee data accurate, support critical HR processes, and deliver high-quality service to a high volume of internal customers. This is a great opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and comfortable working with confidential information and process-driven work.
What You’ll Do
- Maintain and update employee personnel files and HR records with accuracy and discretion
- Process and verify HR documentation related to staffing, recruiting, training, performance evaluations, classifications, and grievances
- Review employment applications and coordinate/verify background checks (law enforcement, prior employers, references)
- Respond to employee/applicant questions on eligibility, benefits, pay, HR policies, and related processes
- Support pension-related casework including calculations, reconciliation, research, case updates within SLAs, and inbox/mail handling
- Document each interaction accurately in the case management system
- Manage a high-volume environment (35+ employee inquiries/day; volume may increase seasonally)

- Workday experience (required)
- Strong customer service skills in a high-volume environment
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy with documentation/data
- Clear verbal and written communication
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word (and general computer applications)
Nice to Have Skills (Top 5)
- HR degree or HR-related experience
- Experience with benefits, payroll, absence/leaves, retirement, and employee self-service support
- Comfort with math, calculations, and data reconciliation
- Case management/ticketing system experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 2–4 years of customer service–related experience required
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
Work Location & Schedule
- Onsite in Davidson, NC 4 days per week (hybrid schedule)
- Full-time with flexibility based on assigned shift (shifts range between 8:00 AM–7:00 PM EST, Monday–Friday)
- Contract role with an expected duration of ~6 months
